Michael C. Doherty, Sr., MS (1939-2019)
After a 32-year career with a company in another industry, Mike made a dramatic career change. Since October 1993, Mike has enjoyed helping people meet their investment and insurance needs.
Mike is a graduate of Mitchell College (ASGS, ASBA) and the University of Connecticut (BGS, concentration in economic resource allocation) and has earned his master's degree from the University of New Haven (MSCIS). He is continually furthering his education and has earned the LUTCF designation. He has also attended CE courses presented by his son Michael, an interesting turn of events.
Mike is a life member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans, the American Legion, and the Willimantic Elks. He is a member of the U.S.S. Patrick Henry Alumni Association. He is a former coach of the Montville Little League and a former treasurer and coach of the Montville Babe Ruth organization. He is a past president of the Montville High School Athletic Booster Club and the Uncasville PTA.
Mike and his wife, Joan, an administrative assistant at DFS, have lived in the Uncasville section of Montville for the past 52 years. They have three children and six grandchildren.
Mike enjoys working with individuals and business owners in areas of financial planning, including retirement planning, individual and corporate benefits, insurance planning (life, disability, and long-term care), and investment planning, and is licensed for business in Connecticut.
